Combining photo documentation I took while doing field research in the Southern States with titles from books, movies and songs, which are part of the Southern Gothic trope, I presented the findings of the research in a Southern Gothic manner. Addressing issues within history, culture and politics the slideshow forms a grotesque holiday picture presentation.
The Slideshow was part of the exhibition What the Modern Era Has Gained in Civility it Has Lost in Poetic Inspiration.
